Oprah’s Next Chapter will finally be aired in South Africa; an interview program that allows Oprah to step outside of the studio for some riveting, enlightening in-depth conversations with news makers, celebrities, leaders and real-life families.
The decision to launch Oprah’s Next Chapter was made after Oprah reflected on her 25 years on television. “After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever – moving around the country and the world talking to people I’m really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too,” said Winfrey. “It is so energizing to be out and about in the world exploring new people, new places and new ideas.”
She has interviewed the likes of Rihanna, Fergie, Stephen Colbert and we will see an episode in which Oprah Winfrey is interviewing teen popstar Justin Bieber. “Me and the Bieber just finished our interview,” Winfrey wrote on Facebook on Wednesday, sharing a picture of herself with the teen singer.
Bieber is in the midst of a busy year – his “Believe” world tour, in support of his chart-topping album of the same name, extends through April.
South African viewers will see the Justin Bieber episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter on Monday 26 November on TopTV (Channel 453) and DStv on the TLC channel (Channel 172).
Sunday, 28 October saw the Jozi masses hit with yet another installment of the YFM total knock out tour #YTKOtour for those in the know. This time around the venue of choice was the uber cool Chaf Pozi, Soweto located right at the bottom of the Soweto Towers.
Upon arrival invited guests were greeted with tons of drink vouchers as has become standard at Yfm events. YFM jockeys Mantsoe Tsatsi and Ankletap played host’s for the day, Mantsoe dressed in a figure hugging peplum top and short shorts fit right in line with the events ‘Summer on Smash’ theme.
We spotted the 3Sum duo Amstel and Koyo Bala in the VIP section dancing up a storm, flanked by the fabulous Lerato Sengadi aka “Leratolicious”. Keeping the crowd ein high spirits on the decks were DJ’s ZanD, JosiChave, Warras with the highlight of the night being Ms Cosmo’s killer hip hop set. It was refreshing to see the celeb’s digging into local braaivleis as pose to the normal finger foods. We also spotted in crowd comedian David Kau, Ladyzee and Tumi Voster whose fashion game is always on point.
Thanks to Hypress for the invite. Overall the night was well spent-A total knock out!
We recently wrote a product review on the new Always Platinum Pads and I received an email on friday from a reader who wanted to share her Always Platinum Experience.
I read your product review on the new always platinum pads, so when I was at Pick n Pay last week I decided to buy and try them out.
The first thing that I noticed was that they are kinda pricey, I bought the small packet – 8 pads and its like R22. But anyway its ALWAYS their products are always good quality.
The pads are packaged in a pink soft material with floral prints. When I opened them I realized they smell really good too. They have this really nice scent and the pads are so soft. Definitely not like your normal pad.
I had a heavy flow and I was at the salon for 2hours when I got back the pad wasn’t even full or heavy. Wow that’s when I decided to contact you and let you know that your review was true.
ALWAYS Platinum Pads are the best pads ever. Will definitely buy them again next month.
I’m glad people are reading my reviews and actually testing out the products. Have you tested the Always Platinum Pads!? Share your review with us in the comments section.

Mzansi Magic will be producing a brand new music reality show called Clash of the Choirs South Africa, presented by the popular radio DJ, Social Media Queen B, Bonang Matheba.
The series will bring ordinary people with a common passion for singing together and it all kick-starts with auditions in seven provinces from November 2012.
The format for Clash of the Choirs is a cut above the rest, and is set to unleash new and exciting South African choral talent – sopranos, tenors and bass singers who can blend in harmony to make the best of the best choir. Seven musical celebrities will travel to a designated province to audition up-and-coming amateur choirs. The successful choirs return to Johannesburg with their celebrity choir master to compete against other celebrity headed choirs in a nine week musical bonanza where R250 000 is up for grabs for the charity of their choice. Winner takes all!
A panel of three judges will monitor every note sung by the choirs in the running looking for the most polished and nurtured voices. Seven celebrity Choir Masters will coach the choirs and prepare them for their battle to secure a spot in the top 3 to go into the final spectacular live show – where South Africa votes for their favourite amateur choir.
Clash of the Choirs South Africa follows up on the great success of Idols South Africa Season 8 which was a co-production between Mzansi Magic and M-Net.
