Event Review : Royal Beginnings Workshop

Royal Beginnings (Promotions and Events Company) hosted a ladies only workshop where speakers discussed topics such as beauty, skin care, hair, and, and, and…

I arrived at the venue Rhapsodys Brooklyn (beautiful place- I must say), the set up was gorgeous.

The workshop started and the first speaker Noluvuyo who is a PONDS Beauty Advisor told us about her job as a beauty advisor and the types of products PONDS offers. I learned a lot from her.

She also said to keep your skin looking good cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine is essential. Someone raised her hand and asked what is to cleanse, tone and moisturise. I was so impressed, the way she was explaining and the way she had answers to all the questions each lady asked.

The next speaker was BK from IMAN Cosmetics Africa, she was telling us about the latest make-up trends, the ladies were asking A LOT of questions. Honestly I didn’t know they sold IMAN Cosmetics in South Africa, I will be buying their foundation this week. BK even did a demonstration where she taught us how to apply liquid eyeliner, I really enjoyed BK’s speech, she was my favourite speaker for the day.

The next speaker was Thami Nyembe, she started her business 3years ago, she makes handcrafted jewelry. She shared her life story and told us about the challenges she faced. It was an inspiring story, ladies who are interested in starting their own businesses asked questions.

We had a short break where people were networking and enjoying drinks offered at Rhapsodys, after 30 minutes, Jawad Maphoto; Celebrity Hairstylist and owner of Lajawi Salon discussed hair / hair trends / healthy hair. People were asking questions about weaves, braids, hair lines, and, and, and… It went on for an hour then lunch was served.

There were lucky draws where 2 lucky ladies won Hair Treatment Vouchers from Lajawi Salon, another lady wont a FabroSanz Creations voucher «— Jealous 😦

another lady won a hamper from Cera di Cupra

I had a great time, wish they had a workshop every month.

Thanks again for the invite Lerato, I had a blast.
